In 2016, while working as a substitute teacher in El Cajon, California, I wrote and published my first book, The Way of Amazing, for a middle school class I taught. The book itself was nothing extraordinary, but accomplishing a lifelong goal was. In June of that year, I officially became a published author.
I was proud of what I had achieved, and whenever people asked what I did, I couldn’t help but talk about writing my book. Almost every conversation led to the same response: “I’ve always wanted to write a book.” After hearing that comment countless times, I started asking a simple question: “What’s stopping you?”
The answers were mostly these 5 things. “I don’t know where to start.” “I don’t have enough time.” “I try to start, but I struggle with my chapters.” “I don’t think I’m good enough.” “I don’t think anyone would read it.”
That’s when I realized something important: Most aspiring authors weren’t struggling because they lacked ideas. They were struggling because they lacked a process that was understandable and made things simple and easy.
I began writing down every obstacle people mentioned and asked myself: “What if I could create something that helped people overcome these problems? What if I could create a system that showed them exactly what to do next?”
With that question in mind, I got to work, and over the next ten years, I continued writing, creating stories, studying the craft, learning from other writers, and refining ideas through trial and error. Little by little, a process began to emerge.
That process became BeginnerToAuthor.
BeginnerToAuthor was created to help new and aspiring writers move from uncertainty to action. The goal is simple: provide a clear, step-by-step path that helps people prepare, write, and develop their books from beginning to end. The lessons are designed to be simple and practical enough to use immediately, and valuable enough to return to throughout your writing journey.
And I believe everyone has a story worth telling, and anyone who follows what I show them here can write their books. And if you think you can’t, just know that I am no one special. I’m just a man from Bakersfield, California, who had a goal. If you have a goal, you can achieve it too, and if your goal is writing your book, then you are in the right place because BeginnerToAuthor was built for you.
To help aspiring authors write their books through simple, practical, step-by-step guidance.
Everyone has a story worth telling. My goal is to help you write it.
I created BeginnerToAuthor because I believe too many people give up on their books before they ever give themselves a real chance. You don’t need to know everything. You don’t need to be perfect. You simply need a place to start. BeginnerToAuthor was built to be that starting point.
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to write your book, this is it.
BeginnerToAuthor will give you everything you need to write the book you have inside you.
